Alcohol & Drug Policy

  

Purpose:

The purpose of this policy is to ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees of Frinton Cleaning Services. This policy outlines the company's stance on the use of alcohol and drugs, and the procedures in place to manage any issues that may arise.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and visitors of Frinton Cleaning Services while on company premises or during work-related activities.

Policy Statement:

Frinton Cleaning Services is committed to maintaining a work environment that is free from the influence of alcohol and drugs. The company recognizes that the use of alcohol or drugs can have serious adverse effects on an individual's health, safety, and job performance, as well as the safety of others.

Alcohol:

Employees are strictly prohibited from consuming alcohol during work hours or while on company premises.

Employees are not permitted to report to work under the influence of alcohol.

The company reserves the right to request a Breathalyzer test if an employee is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.

Drugs:

The use, possession, distribution, or sale of illegal drugs or controlled substances is strictly prohibited on company premises or during work-related activities.

Employees are not permitted to report to work under the influence of any illegal drugs or controlled substances, including prescription medications that may impair their ability to perform their job safely.

The company reserves the right to request a drug test if an employee is suspected of being under the influence of drugs.

Prescription and Over-the-Counter Medications:

Employees are required to notify their supervisor if they are taking prescription or over-the-counter medications that may impair their ability to perform their job safely.

The company will work with the employee to determine if any accommodations are necessary to ensure the safety of the employee and others.

Disciplinary Action:

Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

The company may also report any illegal activities to the appropriate authorities.

Employee Assistance:

Frinton Cleaning Services recognizes that addiction to alcohol or drugs is a treatable condition. The company encourages employees who are struggling with substance abuse to seek help.

The company will provide referrals to local addiction treatment resources and will work with employees to accommodate their participation in a treatment program.
